The Browning - Burn This World - 03.10.11

Enter Shikari have gone some way to explore the integration of metal and dance music with some impressive results, but unlike The Browning they've been accused of 'not being metal enough', which certainly cannot be said of their Texan contemporaries. This quartet have blatantly set out to test these genres further by combining a head-on collision of death metal and dance, blending harsh vocals, huge riffs, machine gun drums and melodic, trance-like keyboards. Questions still remain as to whether they've stumbled upon the sound of the future, or indeed the apocalypse, but they've certainly developed their own fascinating prototype regardless.
