After showing huge promise and garnering a tonne of respect after 2005’s ‘The Empires Of the Worlds’, Biomechanical are back with a new line-up including the impressive ex-Dragonforce bassist Adrian Lambert to help them in their quest to complete their conceptual album trilogy. And not unlike its predecessors, this album is a sonic amalgamation of speed, thrash, industrial, prog and tech metal fused into a bizarre and brutal organism all of its very own.

Once more adopting his film-score talents to create some superb all-encompassing ‘Operation Mind Crime’-esque moments, it seems John K has composed quite a remarkable successor to ‘The Empires Of the Worlds’. His latest work features some of the most mental riffs, solos, blistering drums and staggering arrangements that you’ve ever heard; it’s Meshuggah on amphetamines – a red-hot technical achievement.
